1. Group ‘A’ Posts
1. Finance Officer
- Age Limit: Below 57 years
- Essential Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 12 and above (including Associate Professor) along with experience in educational administration; OR comparable experience in research establishments/higher education institutions; OR 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years must be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
2. Director, Computer Centre
- Age Limit: Below 57 years
- Essential Qualification & Experience:
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science/allied discipline with published work of high quality (minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, total research score of 120). Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates; OR
- An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree in relevant/applied disciplines from academic institutions/industry with significant contributions and 10 years of experience.
3. Controller of Examinations
- Age Limit: Below 57 years
- Essential Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above, or 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above (including Associate Professor) with experience in educational administration; OR comparable experience in research establishments/higher education; OR 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years must be as Deputy Registrar or equivalent.
4. Executive Engineer
- Age Limit: Up to 45 years
- Essential Qualification & Experience:
- First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute/University.
- At least 8 years of experience as Assistant Engineer in the relevant field from CPWD / State PWD / Semi-Govt / PSU / Statutory / Autonomous Bodies / University System or reputed private organizations (annual turnover of ₹200+ Crores).
5. Internal Audit Officer (On Deputation)
- Age Limit: Up to 56 years
- Essential Qualification & Experience:
- Officers belonging to Audit and Accounts Services in Central/State Govt. holding analogous posts on regular basis; OR
- 3 years of regular service in Level 11 (or equivalent) in Audit & Accounts; OR
- 5 years of regular service in Level 10 (or equivalent) in Audit & Accounts.
6. Deputy Registrar
- Age Limit: Up to 50 years
- Essential Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
- At least 5 years of experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent post in Pay Level 10 and above.
7. Assistant Librarian
- Age Limit: Up to 40 years
- Essential Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
- Consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
- Qualified in UGC/CSIR NET or SLET/SET, or awarded a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations.

- HSLC (10th) passed.
- ITI Certificate with Electrical Workman permit / Competency Certificate / License (Class II) or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience.
13. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Institute/University.
- English typing @ 35 wpm OR Hindi typing @ 30 wpm (10,500 KDPH / 9,000 KDPH).

- Essential Qualification:

General Recruitment & Selection Guidelines
- Mode of Selection:
- Group A: Written/skill test or interview as decided by the University.
- Group B & Group C: Strictly no interview as per MHRD/MoE norms. Selection will be based purely on academic qualification criteria, written tests, and skill tests (typing/drafting/domain test where applicable).
- Application Submission: Candidates must apply online by August 16, 2026, and send a hard copy of the application along with self-attested documents within 15 days of the online deadline.
How to Apply for Assam University Recruitment 2026
Step 1: Apply Online
- Visit the Relevant Online Portal:
- For Sl. No. 01 to 06 and 08 to 16: Access the application portal at https://ausnt.samarth.edu.in.
- For Sl. No. 07 (Assistant Librarian): Access the dedicated portal at https://curec.samarth.ac.in.
- Registration & Form Filling:
- Register on the portal, log in, and fill out the prescribed electronic application form with personal, educational, and experience details.
- Pay the Application Fee Online:
- Group ‘A’ (Sl. No. 01 – 07): ₹1,000/- for UR, EWS, and OBC categories.
- Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ (Sl. No. 08 – 16): ₹500/- for UR, EWS, and OBC categories.
- Exempted Categories: Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Women candidates are exempt from the application fee. However, they must pay ₹200/- towards postal expenses.
- Submit Online: Complete and submit the online application on or before 16th August, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Print out a copy of the completed application form.
Step 2: Submit the Hard Copy (Mandatory)
- Compile Documents: Prepare a single copy of your online application form along with self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents, including:
- Proof of academic qualifications & marksheets
- Proof of age/birth certificate
- Experience certificates

Important Notes to Keep in Mind
